With a career spanning two decades in theatre, film, and casting, Randeep Assi is a queer storyteller and healer deeply committed to creating spaces where underrepresented voices can thrive. Raised in a lineage of healers, she brings a unique blend of spiritual insight and creative expertise to her work.
Randeep has worked extensively with marginalised communities—both young and elders—with a deep and enduring connection to the South Asian community. As an associate artist for Peshkar Productions, she created and contributed to many projects across various art forms and roles, championing inclusive storytelling.
During a transformative break, Randeep was sought out across the UK and internationally by leaders in film, radio, theatre, and TV, as well as by many creatives, spiritual, and thought leaders for her deep intuitive healing sessions. Each session reinforced her belief that creativity is our birthright and a vital human need.
This inspired her to Co-found Brown Kuri Productions—a platform for radical visibility and healing through art.
In 2025, Randeep was honoured to be appointed to the board of trustees at Peshkar, furthering her commitment to supporting and shaping the future of inclusive arts.

Co-Founder (2023) & Associate Artist (2025)
Shifaa Arfan is the co-founder of Brown Kuri Productions and a dedicated actress, born and raised in Greater Manchester. Her journey into the creative industry began at the age of 16, with early roles in acclaimed TV dramas such as Waterloo Road and Vera, alongside stage performances. She went on to train in Performing Arts at college, further honing her craft with DNA Performance Resource and IDSA (Identity School of Acting), deepening her skills and commitment to storytelling.
Motivated by the lack of authentic South Asian representation in the arts, Shifaa co-founded Brown Kuri Productions to help shift the narrative. Her work is rooted in a deep commitment to celebrating South Asian stories and empowering South Asian women to take up space, speak boldly, and embrace the fullness of their beauty and expression.
Shifaa continues to act while championing a creative landscape that is more inclusive, vibrant, and representative of the communities she comes from.
